Description
"Cascade in Winter" was originally written after being inspired by the one snowfall per year we get in Georgia. As anyone who lives in the south knows, everything shuts down at even the hint of snow, so this was a wonderful opportunity to sit at the piano, grab a warm cup of coffee, and write some simple, beautiful music.
I originally wrote this for piano solo but decided to orchestrate it out for the Tritone Adult Ensemble to rehearse. Then the Covid-19 lockdowns started, which turned the piece into a virtual recording project for everyone which was a nice way to stay connected and work towards the goal of creating a great performance.
